So, I was actually looking forward to lunch, as I was given an option of broccoli and cheddar quiche. Awesome! I love eggs and cheese and some greens with a nice flaky crust... and I'm accustomed to eating that with a nice mesclun salad lightly tossed in vinaigrette...
Yeah, this is what I got:
Barely larger than one of those frozen PC appetizer bites. Accompanied by a whole lot of air on the plate. Oh, and a beef barley soup that had the consistency of snot and some mandarin orange wedges in syrup. Forget the nutritional wasteland this represents... the caloric intake is a little on the low side. Perhaps they think I'm getting a little too big? Maybe one of Vasa Previa's lesser known solutions is to starve the mom??
So here's what I did with it:
Added raw baby carrots and sliced tomato with a little bit of hummus on the side. Added some fresh raspberries and blueberries to the mandarin oranges and included a mini yoghurt. I still have that barley soup in the picture but that is definitely not getting eaten.
